For over forty years a highly trained team of medical geneticists at Newcastle University and the Royal Victoria Infirmary have carried out paternity testing. NorthGene was created in 1995 by Professor Sir John Burn, an internationally renowned academic in the field of Human Genetics, to promote these services. NorthGene is one of the UK's leading relationship testing companies and donates any profits to medical research and education.
